Description reverse

The bust of the king Sigismundus the Elder facing right, modelled on a portrait painted by Marcello Bacciarelli. The king is wearing a crown and has a short beard over a ruff. He is clad in armour covered with a richly embroidered coat clipped with a decorative buckle and adorned with a jewelled Order of the Golden Fleece on a chain. Above an inscription: SIGISMUN DUS PRIMUS. At the bottom an inscription: I.I.R.
