at the top is Ukraine`s small coat of arms, to the right of which is a semicircular inscription УКРАЇНА (Ukraine). On a mirror surface in a circle are 12 symbols of the Oriental calendar. In the center of the circle is a stylized clock with an arrow pointing to a rat – a symbol of the year, under the arrow the year of coinage – 2020; left below is a semicircle inscription 5/ГРИВЕНЬ (5/hryvnias). On a matte surface, are the symbols of each season of the year which are stylized under the Ukrainian vytynanka: a snowflake (above), a flower (on the right), a berry (below), a leaf (on the left), NBU Mint mark (on the right above the tiger symbol).
Reverse depicts the symbol of the Oriental calendar of 2020 - a rat curled up in a ball, which is surrounded by stylized symbols: snowflakes (above right), flowers (below right), fruits (below left), branches (above left).
